Okay, blog peeps. Raise your hand if you’ve ever felt so drained of inspiration that you are convinced it’s the end of the world. You begin thinking irrational thoughts like “my blog will never be successful! this is the end to *enter blog name* as I know it!” You start re-thinking your entire purpose in the blogosphere and what EVEN ARE YOU DOING?! “Gee, you’re not yourself when you have writer’s block”, your friends will say, as they hand you a spoonful of peanut butter.
Well, I’ve been there. Many, many, many times. Some days I’m driving home or on a morning run and it’s like every epic blog post idea you could imagine comes flowing through my head like a violent river passing through a bed of rocks. Of course, these are instances where recording ideas is very limited. Oh, and then there are times when my mind is a vast, black hole and I’m close to not even knowing my own name.
Today is a good day, because I’m feeling inspired, and I’ve compiled a list of quality, interesting topics for you to write about when you’ve got nothin’ in ya. On those horrible, discouraging days, simply come back to your good friend TBB and lean on my virtual shoulder.

1. Share your go-to meals for when you’re feeling lazy
2. A recipe passed down for generations in your family (if you’re willing to share, that is!)
3. What makes the food culture in your city different than others
4. Document your next experience at a restaurant, good or bad
5. Talk about your culinary journey – when did you start cooking, and why did you? what were you afraid of at first, and how did you overcome those fears?
6. Share a BTS post about your time in the kitchen
7. Talk about a number of cities that you want to visit, and what excites you about their respective food scenes
8. Share a ‘day-in-the-life’, spotlighting your meals and food rituals
9. Talk about where your love of food stems from? (i.e.: my mother is from Cuba, father from Louisiana, so I grew up around food!)
10. Interview someone – a local chef, a local restauranteur, your favorite food blogger, your grandma (the best chefs, let’s face it)
11. Talk about your favorite, healthy foods, and the benefits of those foods
12. Share a recipe, but also share any failures you faced during the experimentation period – people love to see that you are human!
13. Talk about different fast food joints, and share a healthier replacement for each one
14. Find a generally, infamously unhealthy recipe and transform it into a healthier option
15. Carry out a ‘snack giveaway’ full of your favorite snacks
16. Try a new product: a food product, a food subscription box, an appliance or tool, etc, and review it for your readers
17. Share a simple how-to post – i.e.: how to chop an onion, how to make mashed potatoes, how to make an omelet
18. Share a list of your favorite chefs or influential people in the food industry and why you look up to them
19. Share your favorite cookbooks, and include photos of a recipe from one of them that you made
20. Share a list of thoughts that go through your head when you’re cooking something unfamiliar, as told by GIFs
