Holiday Gift Guide for Foodies

This holiday gift guide may be small, but it’s full of quality, spot-on gifts that your foodie friends will LOVE.

Holiday Gift Guide for Foodies

If there’s one thing that’s changed for me over the years, it’s what I enjoy giving and receiving for the holidays. Last year I received two knife sets for Christmas, by two different people. I’m assuming this is because it is obvious I am a foodie who loves to cook, with good knives.

I am giddy with excitement when I have to give a gift to someone who appreciates food and cooking as much as I do. I can wander the walls of Williams Sonoma, Crate & Barrel, Pier 1 and Sur la Table for hours already – give me a mission and I will complete it with enthusiasm. It can be intimidating and a bit of a sensory overload when you are surrounded by millions of tools, appliances, products and more, each of which seem perfect for your loved one whose favorite tv show is Top Chef. I’ve compiled a few ideas for you, so you can stop scrolling through Food52 being smacked in the face with cooking tool stimuli that overwhelm your brain with choice.

the spiralizer*

If you haven’t hopped on the Spiralizer train, what are you waiting for? It’s 2015, and veggies in their true form is so five minutes ago. Use the Spiralizer to transform your side dish from soggy zucchini to healthy noodles.Kale Sun Dried Tomato Pesto Kale Sun Dried Tomato Pesto

the professional chef*

Save your friend $40,000 and give them this book that will teach and provide them a reference for the rest of their culinary lives. It is a total classic and has been dubbed the ‘bible for all chefs’. Being someone who owns this book – I can attest to that. It is essentially an entire culinary education between two hard back covers.

cutting board tablet stand*

Like I said, it’s 2015, which means the majority of the recipes we use are from the internet. If your loved one is an avid iPad or Android tablet user, a stand will make it easier to keep in the kitchen for recipe-glancing. It also prevents your tablet from getting dirty or broken by keeping it out of the way. Plus, it looks like a cutting board! S’CUTE!

This is perfect! Adding all these things to my Christmas gift list. My mom is (almost) as big of a foodie as I am and I’ve been struggling to find something to get her – these all look great! Thanks for sharing!
